Jacob is currently on the Board of Directors of the Southern Jewish Historical Society. This year, he is serving as Program Committee Chair for the Society’s 49th annual conference, “New Orleans: Tradition, Resilience, and Reinvention,” to be held this October in New Orleans. He has served on the SJHS Board since 2022.
At Yale, he directs the Modern Jewish History Colloquium, the Jewish Studies Faculty/Postdoc Lunch Series, and has served as a co-president of the Department of History’s Andrews Society. He is also graduate affiliate of Grace Hopper College, mentoring and running programs for undergraduates in the college.
