Jacob teaches and lectures on topics of Jewish and American history. At Yale, he has taught courses with faculty on subjects of the American Civil War and Reconstruction (Dr. David Blight), European Jewish Political History (Dr. David Sorkin), and U.S. and the World (Dr. David Engerman).
In the spring of 2025, he designed and taught an upper-level undergraduate research seminar at Yale titled “American Jewish Citizenship Politics, from Revolution to Civil Rights.” Throughout the semester, students engaged with many of today’s most essential Jewish political questions, including about the history of Zionism/anti-Zionism, antisemitism, racism and nativism.
He also tutors and teaches writing at the graduate level with the Yale Poorvu Center’s Graduate Writing Lab, where he has worked as a Graduate Writing Fellow since 2021.
Jacob has spoken or guest lectured at Yale, College of Charleston, Hebrew Union College-Cincinnati, and Brooklyn College.
